I was delighted to be asked to be the wedding photographer for Jordan & Kyle at their wedding ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall, London and their wedding reception at One Friendly Place, Greenwich, London in 2022.
Jordan & Kyle’s wedding ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall was held in The Victoria Hall, the beautiful ornate hall which you immediately walk into when entering the building. This was the first time that I have photographed a ceremony in the main hall. It was a stunning area to shoot in with plenty of natural light from the exceptionally high ceilings.
The grooms stood on the staircase, and their guests were seated in the hallway in front of them.
It was a wonderful ceremony. With some time to spare, I photographed the groups on the staircase before leaving for the wedding reception at One Friendly Place, a short drive away.
I had not photographed at this venue before although Jordan and Kyle did advise me that the building was routinely used for filming and events, including weddings.
When I arrived at One Friendly Place, I could immediately see what a fantastic place it was to hold a wedding reception or event! The venue had lots of space, and various rooms had been themed by Jordan & Kyle. This enabled them to stamp their own personalities on the venue, and reflect the kind of wedding celebration they wanted to have with family and friends.
The relaxed atmosphere of the day led to some fantastic photo opportunites for documentary style shooting. We even went onto the roof to capture some sunset phots of the grooms and their guests!
When the dancing started, it was much more than a standard first dance. Jordan worked the decks to make sure everyone had a fantastic time! There was a special video message played on a large screen from a friend abroad who could not attend their day.
Jordan & Kyle’s wedding was an absolutely brilliant day with a fantastic wedding and reception. Here are just a few images from their special day:
Tony managed to perfectly capture our day in the way we wanted. His style of documentary photography was exactly how we wanted the wedding to be remembered and there were so many small moments photographed that are really special. Amazing service too, would highly recommend.
