I love photographing a Swallows Oast wedding, especially as I am a recommended photographer at this wonderful East Sussex wedding venue.
In 2022, Olga & Nick booked me to photograph their Swallows Oast wedding and I was delighted to be able to capture their special day for them.
Olga & Nick had rented out Woodlands Park Farm, a holiday rental property in Rotherfield, East Sussex, for their wedding preparations. It is a stunning property with its own lake in front of the house.
I photographed Nick and Olga getting ready along with their families, all of whom were staying at the property before heading off to Swallows Oast.
Despite some light rain in the morning, Olga & Nick’s wedding took place outside at The Pavilion. Thankfully the rain held off for the ceremony which was a beautiful occasion. Immediately after the ceremony, Olga & Nick walked back down the aisle and were showered in confetti thrown by their friends and family.
Once the happy couple had mingled with their guests, we went down to the meadow and woodland area for a few portrait shots before they returned to the wedding reception.
For the reception, and late into the evening, there was plenty of dancing in the barn at Swallows Oast.
The reception was very relaxed and great fun to photograph.
Once the reception was over, I realized that we might be able to capture a sunset down at the meadow (despite it being overcast all day). Olga & Nick were more than happy to take a short walk down to the meadow and we were very fortunate to capture a stunning sunset.
On returning to the barn for the cake cutting and first dance, I was able to capture a couple of night portraits with Olga and Nick before leaving them to party the night away.
