It’s week 7 of our ’52 Portraits’ project – where has the time gone! Today we feature Tamsin Monks of Mia Rose Designs and The Patchwork Angel.
About Tamsin
We first met Tamsin when she created some memory bunting for our 6 year old daughter’s bedroom. Favourite dresses and tops (which our daughter had grown out of) were used for the bunting. It was a wonderful way of keeping memories alive, as she is growing so fast!
Tamsin is a very experienced seamstress and hand makes clothing under her Mia Rose Designs label. Quilts, memory bunting and other hand-made works are made under The Patchwork Angel label.
The quality of her workmanship is wonderful, and our daughter certainly loves her new bunting.
We photographed Tamsin in her sewing room at her home in Edenbridge, Kent. It has a beautiful vintage sewing table with a Singer sewing machine. Tamsin uses this machine all the time to work on. She also had lovely collections of vintage sewing items.
