On Saturday we were thrilled to photograph Jane & Dan’s wedding at Danson House, Bexley, Kent. It is our local wedding venue, and it is always a pleasure to shoot weddings there!
It was a glorious afternoon with plenty of sunshine, a great start to September! Danson House is a beautiful and very historic building, and is now the official Register Office for the London Borough of Bexley. Consequently, it has become a hugely popular local wedding venue! Saturday was exceptionally busy, and it took some skill to negotiate the sheer volume of weddings which were booked in! We always like to show the amazing architecture, so we make a point of taking some photographs on the iconic steps to the front of the house. The grounds to the side of the house and the gardens in front are ideal for group shots, but again this depends on how busy the venue is!
We also couldn’t resist taking a photo of Jane and Dan’s unique method of transport – a trike to take them to their wedding reception! Jane and Dan held their reception at Barnehurst Golf club, and we were able to take advantage of a perfect sunset to round off their day and our photography.
We’re looking forward to sharing more images soon, and in the meantime, we wish Jane and Dan a wonderful start to married life!
