In the Spring of 2017, we photographed the Danson House wedding of Hille & Paul at our local registry office in Danson Park, Bexley.
Hille & Paul had been recommended to us by Emma; whose wedding to Daniel (Paul’s brother) we were photographing in the summer at The Manor Gatehouse in Dartford. We had met Emma at a local wedding fair and they recommended us to Hille & Paul even before we had photographed their wedding!!
Danson House
Danson House is a beautiful Grade 1 listed Palladian villa built in 1766 by Sir John Boyd and is located in the grounds of Danson Park, Bexley. The house had fallen into a state of disrepair during the 20th Century. Danson House was subsequently restored and re-opened to the public by HM Queen Elizabeth II in July 2005. It is now run as a registry office by the London Borough of Bexley.
Hille & Paul’s Wedding
We met with Paul, his family and guests outside Danson House to capture a few formal and informal photographs before Hille’s arrival.
Hille arrived in a classic Jaguar car with her mother. After a few photographs with her proud mother in front of Danson House, the wedding ceremony took place in the Sir John Boyd Room.
After a short ceremony, the wedding party returned to the front of the house for formal group shots and before entering Fleur de The, a vintage style tea room located on the lower ground floor of Danson House.
We captured a few bride and groom portrait images in the grounds next to Danson House before the happy couple left to continue their celebrations.
Here are just a few of the photographs from Hille & Paul’s wedding:
