Last year we had the pleasure of photographing the Woolwich Town Hall wedding of Romana and Matthew.
Romana and Matthew had already held their religious ceremony prior to their civil ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall. They asked us to photograph their arrival at the town hall and the ceremony. They also wanted some formal photos on the grand staircase. This is always a favourite photography location with brides and grooms!
The Wedding Ceremony
Close family and friends joined Romana and Matthew at the ceremony. Matthew wore his Indian wedding tunic while Romana wore her traditional Asian wedding sari for the ceremony. The wedding tunic and sari were white in colour and were beautifully decorated with ornate beading. There was even a Scottish influence at the wedding with members of Matthew’s family wearing kilts. It was a wonderful occasion.
After The Ceremony
Following the wedding ceremony, we went into the main hall of the building and photographed the bride and groom portraits and requested family and friends shots at the base of the stairwell. The hall is bright and airy even on an overcast day.
We photographed Romana and Matthew’s departure from Woolwich Town Hall through a considerable amount of confetti which was thrown by the guests!
We wish them every happiness in their lives together.
