Winter weddings at Swallows Oast wedding venue in Ticehurst, East Sussex are always wonderful occasions. In the run up to Christmas 2022, I shot Faye & Daniel’s wedding at this fabulous East Sussex wedding venue.
Firstly Faye got ready with her bridesmaids in the bridal suite at Swallows Oast. It is a lovely area to capture relaxed and candid photos whilst getting ready.
Faye wore a beautiful ruffled wedding dress from Amore Brides of Canterbury, Kent.
After photographing Faye, I photographed Daniel and his best man both inside the barn and also in the grounds just prior to the ceremony.
Faye and Daniel held their wedding ceremony inside the hall. Their pet dog, Belle, was the ring bearer on the day. It still makes me laugh when Belle was brought into the hall ahead of Faye and her dad, she wondered where she should go and confused the usher too! As a result, it helped to make the ceremony a lot of fun as well as being a very lovely and emotional occasion.
After the group photos had been completed, we went down to the meadow and woodland area for a few portrait shots before Faye and Daniel returned to their wedding reception.
Whilst the group photos and couple portraits were being shot, the hall was turned around for the reception. The fun and emotion continued throughout the reception and the guests had a great time.
After the reception, the room was prepared for the dancing. The owner, Mark, and his staff seamlessly went about this task and always make this look so easy to do! It really isn’t!
Once the first dance and parent dances were completed, I took some night-time portraits of the happy couple before leaving them to relax and enjoy the rest of their wedding day with friends and family.
