A Cozy Winter Wedding at The Barn, Tunbridge Wells

Rebecca and Nic’s big day was the perfect way to kick off the wedding season. Set in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, their celebration proved that you don’t need a summer heatwave to have a stunning, character-filled wedding in Kent.

Relaxed Bridal Prep at The Mount Edgcumbe, Tunbridge Wells

The morning began at The Mount Edgcumbe, a boutique country house hotel that feels like a rural retreat despite being right in the centre of town. The atmosphere was perfectly relaxed, fuelled by flowing Prosecco and a surprise flower delivery from Nic!

It was also a pleasure to work alongside the talented Laetitia from Makeup Angel, whom we were delighted to recommend to Rebecca.

Style Tip: For her bridal portraits, Rebecca showcased the ultimate practical-yet-chic look. To navigate the famous Tunbridge Wells sandstone rocks outside the hotel, she swapped her heels for a pair of green Hunter wellington boots – a fantastic touch for a winter bride!

An Intimate Ceremony at The Barn Pub & Restaurant

After capturing portraits on the rocks, we headed down to The Barn Restaurant. Known for its traditional oak beams and cozy, rustic atmosphere, it’s one of the most unique wedding venues in Tunbridge Wells.

As a Tunbridge Wells wedding photographer, I love the intimacy of The Barn. We captured documentary-style shots of Nic and the guests arriving before a heartfelt ceremony that felt incredibly personal. The warmth of the wood-beamed interior provided a beautiful contrast to the crisp winter air outside.

Celebrations & Toasts

Following the “I dos,” guests mingled in the characterful bar area for drinks before heading upstairs for a celebratory wedding breakfast. The day was a beautiful reminder that intimate weddings often carry the most emotion, providing a very special start to the year for everyone involved.
