Swallows Oast in Ticehurst, East Sussex was the setting for the gorgeous summer wedding of Jess & Tom.
We first met Jess when she visited the venue’s wedding fayre in 2019 and we were delighted when she and Tom asked us to photograph their wedding
The bridal prep was at The Clock House Annex, Cousley Wood, Wadhurst which is an AirBNB property. Jess, her family and bridesmaids got ready there before heading off to Swallows Oast for the wedding ceremony.
The Wedding Ceremony
The wedding was a large occasion with many family and friends attending and was held outdoors in the rear courtyard.
After the ceremony we took some group shots in the grounds before leaving Jess and Tom to enjoy themselves in the company of family and friends. We continued photographing in our documentary style, capturing the informal fun and emotions of their day.
The Wedding Reception
The wedding reception was held in the barn with wonderful food supplied by Swallow Oast’s caterers.
The speeches were funny and emotional in equal measure. After the reception we took Jess and Tom for some couple portraits in the woods and meadow before returning to photograph the first dance and party celebrations.
