There is something incredibly powerful about a small, focused celebration. Charlotte and Steve’s wedding at Danson House in Bexleyheath took place during the autumn of 2020 – a time of restrictions, but also a time that reminded us exactly what weddings are about: two people choosing each other.

Despite the ‘Micro Wedding’ setting, the energy and joy of the day were as grand as any large-scale event.

An Intimate Ceremony in The Salon Room

Charlotte and Steve gathered their closest family and friends for a ceremony in The Salon Room. Located on the first floor of this stunning Grade I listed Georgian villa; the room is famous for its intricate wall paintings and elegant atmosphere.

While guest numbers were limited due to the guidelines at the time, the room felt overflowing with happiness and smiles. It’s a testament to the fact that you don’t need a crowd of hundreds to have a ceremony full of soul.

Embracing the Autumn Rain

As any Bexley wedding photographer knows, the British weather is part of the story! Just as we headed out for portraits, the clouds opened.

However, Charlotte and Steve didn’t let a bit of autumn rain dampen their spirits. We embraced the weather, capturing some truly romantic and candid moments under umbrellas in the grounds of Danson Park. These ‘rainy day’ photos often end up being the most memorable, reflecting the resilience and genuine excitement of the couple.
