Danson House is a Grade 1 Listed Palladian villa set in the grounds of Danson Park, Bexley. Built in 1766 by the architect Sir Robert Taylor, it has wonderfully decorated rooms for your wedding ceremony. The steps of Danson House and the surrounding park grounds make ideal photographic locations too!
The London Borough of Bexley Council took over the management of the building in 2016. The Registrar’s Offices also moved into the building from Sidcup Manor.
Depending on availability, you will have several ceremony rooms to choose from. These are on the first and second floors at Danson House and include:
The Dining Room – decorated in romantic gold’s and paintings telling stories of love.
The Library – also known as the music room hosting the magnificent Danson organ and overlooking the green lawns.
The Salon – an octagonal room with sumptuous wall coverings and stylish decoration.
The Johnston Room – an informal room with stunning views, located on the top floor of Danson House for smaller wedding parties.
Sir John Boyds Room – an informal room, located on the top floor, with stunning views over Danson Park for medium sized wedding parties.
