We love photographing weddings at Danson House Bexley, one of our local wedding venues. Recently we photographed Karen and Ian’s small and intimate wedding at this lovely venue.
Karen and Ian planned their Spring wedding ceremony for late afternoon, which is often a great time for good light! On the day itself we arrived in bright sunshine but rain was forecast for later, which we hoped to avoid!
We met with Ian and both sets of families outside Danson House shortly before the ceremony. After some informal shots outside, Ian went in to meet the Registrars and we captured photographs of their guests arriving in our favoured documentary photography style.  Shortly before Karen’s arrival, families and friends went to the Sir John Boyd ceremony room on the second floor.
Karen arrived with her father and, after taking a few photographs outside Danson House, she went to meet the Registrar’s.
Karen and Ian and a lovely service with close family and friends. Fortunately for all concerned, the forecast rain arrived during the ceremony and when they left the house as a happily married couple, they walked into beautiful sunlight!
Although Danson House has a policy of no confetti, we took Karen and Ian over to the English Walled Garden directly opposite the mansion and arranged for the confetti throw there instead.
We took a few bride and groom portraits whilst the guests left to go ahead to the reception venue in Bexley village.
We wish Karen and Ian every happiness in their lives together.
