Elegant Autumn Wedding at Danson House, Bexleyheath | Chloe & Reece
Autumn Wedding at Danson House
Set within the sprawling, picturesque acres of Danson Park, Danson House – home to Bexley Registry Office – provided a breathtaking setting for Chloe and Reece’s stylish autumn wedding.
As a Bexleyheath wedding photographer, this Grade I listed Georgian villa is a personal favourite. The building’s architectural symmetry and timeless charm offer a sophisticated backdrop that perfectly complements a modern, chic celebration.
Arriving in Style: A Vintage Entrance
Chloe and Reece made a truly classic entrance, arriving at the house in a stunning Burford soft-top vintage car. The vehicle was provided by our talented friends at Three Kings Wedding Cars in Sidcup, Kent – a team whose own wedding I previously had the pleasure of documenting. The car added a wonderful touch of old-world glamour to the crisp autumn morning, setting the tone for the day’s festivities.
An Intimate Ceremony in the Sir John Boyd Room
In an era of large-scale weddings, Chloe and Reece chose to focus on what matters most: the commitment. They opted for an intimate ‘ceremony only’ wedding, held in the exquisite Sir John Boyd Room.
Located on the first floor, the room is celebrated for its rich burgundy walls and floor-to-ceiling windows. The natural light here is a photographer’s dream, creating a romantic, moody atmosphere that felt both grand and private. Chloe looked radiant in a delicate full-length lace gown, while Reece looked classically tailored in his navy suit. Their vows were sincere and deeply personal, proving that simplicity is often the ultimate form of sophistication.
Portraits on The Grand Steps & in The EnglishGarden
Following the ceremony, we stepped out to make the most of the historic grounds. We began with traditional family portraits on the iconic grand stone steps of Danson House. These steps provide that quintessential ‘stately home’ aesthetic that couples adore about this Bexley venue.
Afterward, we took a short stroll to The English Garden, situated directly opposite the house. This area is an idyllic spot for wedding portraits; the manicured flower beds and secluded corners offered Chloe and Reece a quiet moment of reflection to enjoy their first few minutes as a married couple.
Reception at Danson Stables
The celebrations continued a short walk away at Danson Stables, where the couple hosted an elegant reception for their closest friends and family. I captured the warm atmosphere of their arrival and the heartfelt speeches before leaving the newlyweds to enjoy the rest of their evening surrounded by loved ones.
It was a joy to document such a refined and heartfelt day at one of South-East London’s most beautiful landmarks.
