Falconhurst Estate Wedding of Rebecca and James

The beautiful Falconhurst Estate in Kent was the venue for the summer wedding of Rebecca and James. It was a lovely wedding at one of our favourite wedding venues. We are recommended photographers for Falconhurst and always love returning there. We had already met Rebecca and James on several occasions, and had a wonderful pre-wedding shoot with them in Bath earlier in the year.

Bridal Preparation

Initially we started our day with informal bridal preparation shots at Rebecca’s family home in Shirley, Croydon. Rebecca’s family were all there getting ready for her special day. We captured shots of the bride, bridesmaids, and other family members including grandparents. We also photographed Rebecca and her Mum, Diane, in their garden. Once these shots were completed we headed to the church where Rebecca was due to be married.

The Wedding Ceremony

Rebecca and James got married at St. John’s, Shirley. After some informal shots of James, his groomsmen and guest arrivals, we waited for Rebecca to arrive. She arrived in style with her father in his Aston Martin. We took some photographs outside the church before entering to photograph the service in our unobtrusive documentary style.

Falconhurst Estate Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, Rebecca and James left the church in a red Ferrari 430. They then made their way to the Falconhurst Estate, Edenbridge, where their guests were awaiting their arrival. James did admit that they were slightly late due to ‘taking the car out for a little spin’! Once at Falconhurst, guests were treated to a drinks and canapé reception in the walled garden. After this, everyone made their way to the croquet lawn to listen to a live band. The band also featured a couple of sets from Rebecca and James themselves. Both of whom are accomplished musicians who attended Brit School. There was also an ice-cream cab, afternoon tea and lawn games to keep their guests entertained before the evening reception.

Evening Reception

The day finished with the wedding breakfast, speeches and entertainment from Paul Fowler, Magician before the first dance began around 9pm.
