Last month we had great fun photographing the Port Lympne Hotel wedding of Michelle and Songea. Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve offers a variety of indoor and outdoor venues. The Grade 2 listed mansion features ornate reception rooms, gorgeous gardens and terraces. We were thrilled to be the first photographers to shoot a wedding ceremony in the newly restored Moroccan Courtyard.
The tranquil Moroccan Courtyard, decorated with antiques handpicked from Marrakesh, is the perfect outdoor space for smaller ceremonies. It suited Michelle and Songea’s intimate wedding perfectly!
The wedding day started with Michelle arriving early and getting ready on site with members of her family and friends. On arrival we took the opportunity to take some informal bridal preparation photos before heading off to photograph Songea and their wedding guests as they arrived.
Guests started arriving at midday, and the ceremony itself followed shortly afterwards. The Moroccan Courtyard looked beautiful adorned with flowers, and the setting was both picturesque and tranquil as a harpist played. The ceremony was followed by reception drinks and an opportunity for us to take a mixture of both formal and informal shots of Michelle and Songea and members of the wedding party and guests.
We then left the happy couple to Giraffe Cottage for an evening meal and a private safari! What a wonderful way to celebrate such a special occasion!
Here are just a few images from Michelle and Songea’s special day…
