First Look : The Manor Gatehouse Dartford Wedding of Emma & Daniel

Last Friday we were thrilled to photograph Emma & Daniel’s wedding at The Manor Gatehouse, Dartford, Kent. It was our first wedding since our second trip to Lake Annecy.

It was a beautiful afternoon with plenty of sunshine, a welcome relief from the cloudy and grey weather of previous days! The Manor Gatehouse is a beautiful and very historic building. Henry VIII chose the site to construct a Manor House for his personal use. Anne of Cleves was then given the Manor House as part of her divorce settlement by Henry. She subsequently lived there between 1553 and 1557. Today just the Gatehouse remains.

We used the historic walled garden for lots of the photographs, including all the couple and group shots… It’s a beautiful garden and perfect for smaller weddings!

We’re looking forward to sharing more images soon, and in the meantime, we wish Emma and Daniel a wonderful ‘Wedding Part 2’ abroad!
